My 7 has never seen snow. Nor will it. I have a 94 cavalier base model for winter and getting parts.

how does the that work you buy a winter rat then what happens to the insurance on the 7 do you just swich it or transfer it. I am kinda confused on it and would like to buy a winter rat and put the 7 in storage for winter and start it every week to keep the engine on par let me know what i should do.

just drive it during the winter on days when its not bad. i drive mine through all kinds of snow and ice. also, if you want something else for winter your insurance will drop if you have multiple cars on your policy

My insurance for my 7 is only $300 a year for full coverage, so I just leave it fully insured year round.

I put snow tires on my old rear drive car and sand bags in the trunk. Snow tires made a huge difference.

Tires are the only thing that really will matter driving your rx in the snow. Do NOT use a summer performance tire in snow, you will get stuck(trust me on this one). You can however get snow chains and do ok. If I had the option though, a fwd or 4wd beater would be preferable for winter.

You can drive it fine during the winter, you just have to be careful. If you have a TII, you have to stay out of the boost... Having tires and wheels just for winter helps.

I am going to have to drive mine for the up coming winter. I am building a Hachi Roku for race, and just sold my beater to get my new FC. Since I don't have the funds or room for three cars, I guess the FC is going to have to see some snow and ice this winter. Ohh man it is going to suck.

I drove mine in the snow here in oregon and almost lost it this last winter. I wasn't planning on driving it and was going to take the bus to campus instead. Missed the bus took it out, bald tires and all. Our snow is really slippery and wet and the road I was going down was slightly up hill and slightly banked. Was going fine and then realized I was kind of going up at a slight angle and then finally the back kicked out and the car started to go sideways. I just went with it and let the clutch out and it straightened out. Would I ever do it again in those conditions? Hell no. Thumbs up to snow tires.

First day of winter last year I come in a parking lot, slide into a curb, and have a bent front rim. I drove it a couple other places that winter too after that and it was terrible. I basically kept her in the garage all winter while I drive my camry which is 1000x nicer in snow.

I had a '90 a few years ago and had to drive it in the snow. Handled better then half the SUV's around. Mind you it was stick, that gives you much more control in the snow. And I'm talking Chicago winter's here.

Winter here in SA is the best time to drive the seven on the twisty road with the windows down, mainly cause its not boat season (the place we go is around a lake), also cause in the summer no A/C litterly melts your ***

Same here, except central/south texas. Its never seen snow, but neither have I. Well, not here anyway. If it did snow here, I would have a cheap FWD car for snow.

I think I'll drive it in the Winter, cuz its warmer than a city bus =P Providing the roads aren't too bad though, in Canada (Alberta) you can get some pretty insane road conditions. I'll just put on some nice new winter tires and drive safe; hopefully I won't have an accident O.O RWD is gonna be a bitch on ice haha.
