Wings to fly.......
hey guys, i have seen many posts degrading ricers for their choice of rear spoilers....what would be the nicest spoiler you have seen on a FC? post some pics so we can see what you mean.
and for the hard to find nice convertible rear spoilers, i would think that if they could make ones like a whale tail for BMW etc...cars with the flat trunks, why cant they make something similar for the RX-7? like a lip off the trunk. hehe
why is there like only 1 style for the verts anyways?
just thinking out loud...share your pictures :P

BadBoy,
The whale mariahmotorsports tales look sweet on the 1st gens, but I'm not so sure on the 2nd gens.
OEM you can choose from the lip spoiler, flat long spoiler, taller mazdaspeed spoiler, convertible spoiler, 88 TII spoiler, and 89+ TII spoiler.
mariah also makes a tall rear spoiler that still works on the normal thin body cars.

Let me put it this way...I have never seen a good after market wing for an FC. And a lot of guys around here will back me on that. I know that most wings worth anything are from Japan, and cost $$$$$$$$$$$$. Some brands to look for:Border, Knightsport, Mazdaspeed, RE Amemiya. Good luck!!

there was a pic on here in a thread about shaved mouldings that had a nice wing, but it jsut looked like the stock one moulded smooth to the body. it was a yellow car.
the problem with ricers is that the wings they choos have little functionality and look ridiculous on stock cars.

Wings are a matter of taste, which is a matter of opinion. So everybody’s is different. I like very few wings on any car nowadays, but before the recent riceboy craze I liked several wings.

I have a wing from a Firebird on my 'vert. (The "Knight Rider" style Firebird...) It looks pretty good, and it was cheap and easy to get.

Ive seen a few "ricer" wings on circut cars in option videos. Concidering they are circut or serious drift cars I really like them. If I saw an FC w/ a touring wing on the street id be diffrent. just my opinion.
