I made a male/male connector out of the old plugs on the back of the factory deck.
I might try that and see what the reception's like.
If you have internal speaker amps and you power them with your power antenna lead on an aftermarket deck, then you also power the power antenna lead.
My Clarion deck has seperate remote leads for the antenna and amp. That way the antenna goes up when you listen to the radio but goes down when you listen to CD's.

I goofed up on the Blaupunkt information. Only the San Francisco has the twin tuners, which is called TwinCeiver.

That's a nice unit, but a tad pricey...

I don't have the original radio to rob parts from,..is there as male to male adaptor that can be bought somewhere? It'd be great to get rid of the back antenna.

An electronics shop should have them. That's where I've gotten them before.

Ive got an 86 sport, and i dotn have a windshield antenna, which would be an option id actually like to have as my sock antenna motor is dead, and i get crapy reception (ist actually taped in the up position with little patches of duct tape right now) I love my no sun roof, no power, no A/C, no cruise control, no tinted glass, no P/s however

Yeah yeah yeah... I've just got a 99 dollar Blaupunkt in my FC. The GTP has the real system in it.
