will this work...?

on my s4 n/a i have rb headers to a rb pre-silencer, then 2.5 inch pipe to a single muffler.. brand is called E.S. sounds pretty loud. i would like to quiet it down a bit. my question is will i be able to hook up dual rb mufflers to a stock y-pipe and connect it to the presilencer or will i need to do more? also off course will it make it quiter than a single exhaust? with or without catylic converter?
attached are pics of single exhaust and the rb's that i want to switch with.

If you can weld and use a sawzall, sure it'll work.

Dual exhaust will be quieter than single exhaust with the headers and no cats?

Two mufflers (and quality ones at that) will be better than one in terms of cutting noise down. I was also going to say that the RB mufflers may not bolt up to the stock y-pipe, but it looks like the ones in the picture have been modified anyway. I'm assuming it's all getting welded together.
