Yay for clean oil! (update and question)

Well, this evening a friend and I changed the oil in my baby and installed new gaskets in the oil pedestal and such. (Took me a bit to figure out where exactly the gaskets went ) Didn't fool around with the OMP even though I had the kit... How difficult is this to do? How do I go about removing the OMP?

I realized that I need to replace my strut cartridges even sooner than I thought.... I couldn't drive the car up on ramps because it was riding so low!

The transmission will be coming out soon, I need to fix the problem I was having last fall and put it back in the car... I'm thinking it's the throw-out bearing, but we'll see once it's out. Hopefully the clutch won't need replacing... I'd rather not have to spend the cash on that right now. :-/

Hoping to get her painted before I put her back on the road for the summer!! I know somebody that may do the spraying for me if I do the prep work...

Also hoping to tune the carb a bit better this summer to smooth out the rather rough idle and take it down a few hundred rpms.

At any rate, I just had to blab about all this fun stuff and ask if anybody has any suggestions for what I should tackle next-- To my knowledge the only things that have been replaced since the car was new are the few things I've done here and there... (rear shocks, brake rotors and pads in the front, wheel bearings in the front, master cylinders, and the usual fun stuff like fuel filter and sparky stuff)

Thanks for the input, if anybody has any

If the tranny drops, get the clutch, unless the clutch is already new... It's a general rule of thumb...

It's because it's so much work to drop the tranny, over a two hundred dollar clutch.

Don't neglect the rear main and tranny input shaft seals.

Clutch is of unknown age... Could be a summer old, could be ten years old....

Pressure plate too or just the clutch itself?
