Will a turbo exhaust fit on an N/A?

I searched for this and found a few threads that said that it was possible... but before I go buy a used turbo system(downpipe back) I just want to confirm...is it possible to put this system up under my N/A with a custom pipe from the exaust manifold to this system? Additional info... I have an 89 GTU with a rotted stock system and I found a decent turbo xs exhaust off of an 87 T2 in my area... will it work?

i would say that all you would have to do is just cut the flange off of the header and then just weld another. i think.
