They 'say' it will, I don't think anybody has tried it. http://www.rotaryresurrection.com visit the tech section for some ECU info.

Stacher - cool good to know someone who has tried it. Kevin Landers told me it could be done, and that's who I was referring to in my post (see the link I posted - says its possible) but I didn't know anyone who had. Is your friend also on the board here?

Actually the only difference between the two is in pin# 2M.
On a N/A it is used for the VDI and on a T2 it is used for the knock sensor. So if you use a N/A ECU you will loose the knock sensor ability.

not too many people know much about the stock ecu's beyond numbers. in theroy there are differences in the fuel maps and whatever else is needed in it for more power better milage or better emmisions. automatic ecus are supposed to make more hp to help for the lack of power cuz of the auto tranny. im sure vert ecus are different to make up for extra weight. now i doubt you are going to find what i said written anywhere but ive heard it from several local rx7 people and from others on the board. im sure someone will try telling me im wrong and everyone who said that told me about that is wrong but i believe it from my own experience so unless someone can show me physical proof that the ecu's are all basicly the same aside from transmission control im sticking with what i say.
