RB header to BONEZ superflo?

I've been doing alot of searching and I finially decided on getting the BONEZ SuperFlo system and the RacingBeat non turbo cat-back dual exhaust setup. It's kinda expensive, but I think it will be well worth it since my stock exhaust system is on it's last legs.
I know all this should bolt together, the BONEZ is 2.5" and the RB is 2.5" then splits to two 2" pipes.... no problem there, but I was planning after I get that exhaust on maybe getting a RB header to put on after I get more money. I wasnt sure if the RB header fits correctly to the BONEZ presilencer and CAT. Anyone done this? does it fit or does it need to be modified? Anyway, I may not even get the header, it all depends on money and how much i like the new setup.
Thanks,
-Cyrus

The Racing Beat header will not fit with the Bonez silencer and cat. It is too long. Have your exhaust guy cut the cat and silencer apart and weld flanges on both of them, then you can run with either just the presilencer or just the cat. i'm running with just the silencer into a Racing Beat catback and it sounds bad ***.

I'm actually going to be purchasing a RB header very soon. This is something I would also like to get squared away.

I have no idea what kind of cat I have.. but as far as I know, I do still have the stock pre-cat.

The only thing replaced AFAIK was the cat back. Bonez cat, 2.5"cat-back with magnaflow mufflers.

Here's a pic of my current exaust, to see if any of you guys know WTF I have, I am clueless.

The system in those pics looks to me like the Bonez Superflo system. Look on the lettering on the cat, will say Bonez (looks like it does, but pic is a little blurry) Anyway, no the Header will not bolt up to the superflo system, since the superflow system is made to bolt to the stock exhaust manifold, and the header is much longer. I had the superflow system on my N/A, and when I bough my RB header I just hacked the presilencer off and flanged the other end of the cat the correct length to fit. If you are not handy with a welder, take it to an exhaust shop, with the correct measurement of how long it should be, and they will be able to do it for you.

Any way to keep the pre-silencer in?

Most people say that magnaflows sound like **** (and they do, but I seem to have some rare kind that nobody else does.. because they sound good with this setup)

It is not THAT loud, and is a very low pitch, not raspy at all, thank god. I want to keep that. Anyway to have the RB header, but keep the pre-silencer and bonez cat?

I have yet to even look under my car except to look for rust... I have not done any of the exaust work on my car, and have 0 experience.. so i have no clue wtf to do

No, not possible to keep the silencer and the cat, the header is just too long and there isnt room for both after it. Honestly I dont know what the mufflers you are using sound like, so I cant really comment on that, but I will say that when I had a pacesetter catback (got it for pretty much freee when my stock system was rotted out) along with the Bonez cat and RB header, it was crazy loud and raspy. It really sounded aweful. Then I upgraded to my Greddy Cat-back, it it was very quiet and mellow, not raspy in the least, and sounds very good.

Then I went ahead and threw a turbo in there also, and that really quieted things down, so you may want to try that

is the main cat you got 2.5"?
If thats the case, I can skip the hack-job and save myself some money by getting the RB header, bonez main Cat, and RB cat-back.
Thanks for the info!

Before I go out and do the same thing, I want to clarify a few things.

With an RB header, bonez main cat replacement, and RB catback, is there any part of the whole exhaust system that hasn't been replaced? What I mean is whether or not the pre-cat gets eliminated by the header. It doesn't seem logical to me to replace part of the cats and keep an old restrictive section.

Thanks

The header eliminates the pre-cat and with the setup you just described you'd only have 1 cat, the bonez high flow. Also, so you know, the RB header mated to the bonez high flow cat will NOT reach the rb catback. Unfortunately, it is not stock length. What I mean is, RB made the header/pre-silencer combo to eliminate all the cats and then be able to mate up to the stock or any aftermarket catback system made for the 2nd gen rx7. However, there is a problem. The pre-silencer that normally goes after the header is 20 inches long, the stock main cat, which is the same length as the bonez high flow cat, is 17.5 inches long. So if you have the header going to the bonez high flow cat and then an aftermarket catback system made for a 2nd gen rx7, you'll have a 2.5 inch gap in there that the presilencer normally fills. If you're going to go the route that I have done with the header and high flow cat, you'll have to have a custom system made, unforunately. Hope that helps.
