Will my stock radiator be sufficient at these boost levels?

I'm currently installing a Paxton SN-89 Centrifugal supercharger on my FC. I'm expecting it to make 220-240 rwhp. The SC flows 800 cfm and should make 8-10 psi. Keep in mind that with a SC it takes power to make power, so that's why the rwhp numbers might seem a bit low for that much CFM at that PSI.

With that in mind, will my stock radiator be sufficient? I have a large electric fan (don't know the brand) set to turn on at 180* currently. I will also be ordering a Water Temp gauge to monitor the temps.

At what water temp should I become concerned?
If I decide to upgrade, what options are popular for the FC (I know, I can search this part, but if you're already here, you can give me feedback )?

Thanks.

This is the part that concerns me. If you dont know the brand, then you dont know the CFM rating.

I have heard that the stock radiator with a STOCK clutch fan can support in excess of 350 rwhp. But thats what I HEARD (I have no concrete evidence).

My question to you is, why take chances? If your going to upgrade the motor, upgrade your cooling too! And you REALLY need to find out what that fan is.

Yeah, take the siderails off a stock radiator. It is thin as hell!

But , amazing enough it cools great

If you are straped for cash just make sure you have an aftermarket water temp and maybe oil temp gauge.

And put that stock fan back on

I put the CFM rating on aftermarket fans in the same categary as peak power ratings on stereo gear. They might sound impressive, but they're most likely BS in real-world conditions. There are so many different ways to measure a fan's airflow, so you have no way to know if you can accurately compare two different manufacturer's ratings.

There's only one way to know if a fan works, and that's to use it. Keep one eye on the temp gauge when you're at low speed until you're confident it can do the job.

I have heard that the stock radiator with a STOCK clutch fan can support in excess of 350 rwhp.
The fan does not "support" any power. It's only there for low-speed cooling, when peak power is meaningless. If the stock fan can keep a stock 146hp 13B cool, it can keep a 500hp 13B cool too. Both engines will be producing similar power (and hence heat) under the conditions the fan is used for.

Personally I'd be very surprised if the stock radiator could handle 350rwhp. Most manufacturers would design a system with more than 100% extra capacity...
