just block it off where it connects at the bottom of the rad area and be done with it. Or pull off the dash and get on from a bone yard. Either way will work

And see when I saw the picture, I saw the micky mouse run of the stereo wires and thought "yeah how could that happen???, that's just sickening".

I had to go and look at the picture a second time to see the leaking coolant.

I had the same problem but it was not a heater core.

I had recently installed an engine. In the process of removing the heater core hose. I got the brass fitting on the fire wall side out of round. As a result it leaked into the cabin.

I had to rebend it and rtv the inside of the hose before I slipped it back on.

Yes, the dash is completely in the way. That's not leaking too bad, but swap it out quick before it gets worse, believe me I know.

how can you tell if you have a heater core leak without pulling up the carpet and checking for fluid leaking?

well that takes all of 1 second to plug in on the passanger side front fender, so after you finish your master installation of the fuel cut defenser get to work on the dash.

In my case, I was experiencing a thin slimey coating on the inside of the windshield after a bit of driving. The coolant would steam upwards from a pin-sized hole. The other thing, is that you are slowly loosing coolant, so you would see a level drop.

You dont need to pull the dash completely out. YOu can just unbolt it, and pull it back about 3-4 inches. That is all the clearance you need to wiggle the core out and replace it. This means you can leave most of the wiring connected.

Damn dude, you are harsh. Gotta love .... the love in this forum.

The HKS FCD actually has to be wired in at the ECU.
