Will my car run without the wastegate on?

As the topic states, im home at lunch i have to pull the wastegate off and send it to the supplier, will it be ok to drive to work and back for today, im not gonna be flooring it or anything.

will it run? sure. Should you drive it with a massive exhaust leak under the hood , heat up your engine bay and possibly fry something / expose yourself even more to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning? no.

Is it that different to having a screamer pipe hooked up, i got some stainless there, if i make a blanking plate with a couple of holes in it...

I'm not familliar with this screamer pipe, but really you would just have an open dump right off your manifold. Running it to diagnose something I've done this before on z33's, but I really would not drive it for the reasons mentioned above.

yeah it will be like a screamer pipe thats always open..you cant do it unless you block off the area where the wastegate was
