Will I have a Gas Smell?

I plan to put on an RB Header/Collector~>Presilencer into a Custom Single Cat-back. What I'm wondering is, everyone mentions a "gas smell" in the car when they remove the Cats and put in a replacement pipe. Will that gas smell be present with the presilencer? and if so, what would you suggest to get rid of it? I mean, I love fumes as much as the next guy... but my girlfriend doesn't.

gas fumes come if you remove the charcole cannister that filters fumes from the gastank.

A downpipe & performance cat actually gives a very pleasing smell (the smell of performance).

A downpipe and straightpipe definitly isn't a good smell & makes your eyes water.

well I wouldn't do so far as to say it makes your eyes water... it's a bit gassy exhausty smelling. the worst is that it sticks to your clothes after you leave the car... idling in traffic sucks but it sucks for everyone around too :-)

power is worth it imho. besides the car isn't a daily driver. I am only speaking from having hollowed cats. I can't think a straight pipe would be that much worse.

Well, I'd assume DP and Header would be close to one another. I think a pre-silencer might get rid of some of that smell... moreso than a straightpipe at least.

Personal Experience would me best.

ANY N/A FC OWNERS WITH A HEADER~>PRESILENCER~>SINGLE N1 COMBO OUT THERE?? YOUR INPUT APPRECIATED!
