will catback raise my boost? (read before you tell me to search)

i was thinking about buying a catback system. currently i have a bonez 2.5 inch downpipe, straightpipe, and the STOCK CATBACK. i figured that i was "bottle necking" the exhaust.. my boost is only at a little over 7 psi with my current mods and i thought that it should be around 10-11... will a nice catback up my boost?

From what I've been told and read in the past that the stock catback is a bottleneck once you've done the mods you've described.

Ya a catback should raise your boost up some. If it doesn't as much as you want it to then you could do the TID mod. With just the fcd and walbro pump try to stay at 10psi or lower though.

aftermarket cat-back might give you about 3hp,stock one flows well, the spring on the waste gate looses a lot of tension when it gets old, therefore lower boost.

The stock catback is extremely restrictive. A gain of 10-15 FWHP is a more accurate number. And I am yet to see the wastegate being the reason behind a low boost problem.
