yes and no your oil is going to get old if you are going to let it sit up go and purchase some stabill oil to put in there to perserve the life of your oil if not just start it up every now and then and let it run for a few min that way your oil wont go bad and build up gunk

I guess you won't be around to start it up once in a while...
How long are you going to let it sit and on what climate?

I used to have my bike just sit outside during winter time without the battery..hooked up battery on trickle charge indoor. During warmer times, I'd start it right up with no problems., (that's like about 4 or so months of sitting out in the winter.) and it's a bike.

And here's the bike. had it for a while now and it's always been outdoor except now I got a storage for it.

Replace the word "oil" with "fuel" and this will mostly be correct.

However, DO NOT start the car and let it run for a few minutes. That is the worst thing you can do.

Some storage tips:
http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/storage.htm

If you are SURE you are only storing it a few months, just put Stabil in the tank and then warm up the car to circulate it. Pump the tires up to 55 PSI, disconnect the battery and store it under a cover. Make sure to deflate the tires back to proper pressure when you drive it.

If you aollow aaron cakes advice for storage you should be good, and if you disconnect the battery and put stabil in the fuel you should be good. If I remember right drain the rad, and fill the oil level up to beyond way full, you should be good for a few months. and good luck on rehab, I used to do ski patrol, so I saw more than my fair share of the injury your going through.

Don't drain the rad. The lack of coolant will cause corrosion to form between the steel and aluminum parts.

If you intend on long term storage, follow the advice in my writeup.
