Unhappy wierd vibration when on highway...plz help smart people

ok if i am going 55 mph or faster, and the wheel is almost straight, there is a horrible vibration, comming from the drivers side wheel it seems like...almost like it would be jumping up and down. if i am going that fast but i am turning my wheel like around a bend on the highway, it doesnt do it, only when the steering wheel is pretty much as straight forward as it can be. the tread on the front tires isnt that great, not sure if that would factor in with anything, and the car is lowered with k sport coilovers, but it doesnt have any serious camber or anything going on. somepne please help me, a buddy said it could be a ball joint, but i dont wanna go waste money if its not..any help is appreciated.

You need to jack up the car and try to move the front wheel by hand. Grab it at 12 and 6 o'clock and try the move it by pushing on the top/pulling on the bottom and then pushing on the bottom/pulling on the top. Use the same technique with your hands at 3 and 9 o'clock. If you have play at the 3&9 o'clock positions, you most likely have a bad tie rod end. At the 12&6 it is either ball joint or wheel bearing. It helps to have someone to help you so you can look to see where the movment is. I would also check the tires by spinning them while in the air and look for out of roundness or tread distortion( sign of broken belts ). Lastly, I would take it to a reputable shop if you really don't know how to diagnose it yourself. Good luck!

there was no side to side play when i did this, and top to bottom, there was just a TINY bit of play, but not enough where i would think that it could be a balljoint, just maybe a balljoint that was just starting to wear out...heres another small thing, if i deflate a just little air out of the passenger side tire, then it tends not to do it as much, but i kinda have to hold the wheel a little to the drivers side to keep it straight, but when i striahgten the wheel all the wat straight, it does it, but then if i turn the wheel at all any directon, it stops, and it is smooth.....just little tests i was doing.
