Wierd problem, car is not starting
Out of nowhere today i went to start my car to go to school as usual and the car wouldnt even start.
I knew it wasnt flooded b/c when i turn the key it didnt sound the same.
Doesnt sound like the engine is turning at all. Sounds like a squeeing pig or some thing. Possible starter problems?
All fuses are good, plugs/wires are good.
Its not flooded thats for sure, not a weak battery or alternator.
Only option would be a dead starter, but it worked fine last night ? Just dies for no reason ?
Any ideas? Options on repairs ? thanks

First, have someone watch the fan belts when you try to start it. If they spin, then you are most likely flooded. If they do not, then it is more likely a starter issue.
For the starter, you can get to it by getting under the car--it is located on the driver's side towards the back of the front wheel. If you can take the wheel off, even better.
For the flooding, there are a few methods you can try. do a search in here for flooding and you will see what I mean. Seriously, I understand that the car is in your back yard, but if there is any way you could get it out and push start it, you would be better off. That is how I got mine unflooded and I have not had a problem since.

I telling you get a long piece of board and from the drivers side of car ramp the starter case a couple of times and then see if the starter will then engage. You do not have to jack the car up to do this simple test. If the car starts up after trying this a couple of times it means you have a flat spot or worn brushes on the starter and it will need to be replaced or rebuilt.
The starter is connected to the drvers side trans bell housing. Just follow the positive battery cable.

The belts move. But i have a fuel cut switch and i did the unflooding procedure but its not working.
Also I kept going at it and it does smell like gasoline so i think it is flooded, but its not gettin unflooded. And when I keep trying to crank it gasoline smoke comes from the engine bay :S
Any ideas?
