What The??? Nooooo!!!!!!!

Okay, so I had the FC up on the stands ready to do my clutch.... (wasn't planning on doing the seals, cause of money) got under that baby... and DA*N!!!! seals are leakin oil pan leaks AND there's gear oil coming out of the speedo cable? that's crazy!!

the dealership is charging 650 for the clutch work, seals, gaskets and labor.... GOD!!!!! MAKE IT STOP!!

Anywho, I am leaving for California on the 27th of dec. leaving my dear Montana behind me.... out of the gas stations there, how bad are ya'lls prices, and can anyone give me tips as far as life down there.... shops, parts stores so on..... I'll be living in San Dimas.... so, look me up too, alsways anxious to hang out w/ fellow drivers.... (apologies if this ain't the right thread)

I KNOW I KNOW..... I don't have anywhere to work on it now though..... it's 28 deg out and snowing!!!! unless you have a better idea? I know no-one w/ a garage

only for emissions does Cali suck, i make more in equity on my home than i do as a mechanic during a full year so it can't be all bad... i used to live in Santa Cruz, i don't know how you can afford to live there still.

keep a PO box in MO so you can keep the car registered there if you dont have smog where u live.. especially if you wont pass here in CA.

then you get pulled over and have to register the car in state, that is a temporary fix unless you feel lucky and can get away with it for a long while. cops usually will pull you over if they see you on a regular basis with out of state plates.

I've lived in Illinois for 4 years with wisconsin plates, wisconsin license, and wisconsin insurance rates. If you maintain a residence or po box there ain't **** they can do about it.

'reside' is the key word, you can argue with an officer that you reside there but if you can't prove it then you know who wins. lying to a cop is always a good way to get on their good side too, sarcasm off... **** one off and he will likely write you up for violations on your car that you didn't know existed.

rent is not horrible.....$1500/mo between 4 ppl....gas sux tho, $2.55/gal

my mortgage is only $1200 a month.


gas sucks no matter where you go... though it isn't too horrible here at $2.17

Well, I plan on keeping my residency here in montana.... I'm goign to try to get a decent Dispatching job w/ fire or law, so, it helps to have connections....
