Wierd electrical problem (seatbelt light+ anti-theft system)

Wierd electrical problem (seatbelt light+ anti-theft system)
Hey guys I'm having a wierd thing happen, maybe I just dont know how to use the anti-theft, i dont know.
Basically, I would normally turn the car off take the key out and the security light will flash @ me. I then lock the doors and once the last door has been locked I hear a little beep. I close the door, and It appears armed.
However today, I turn the car off, remove the key, and no flashy security light. As soon as I open either door (with the key removed), the seatbelt warning light comes on however it is VERY dim.
If I put the key back in and turn it one notch, the light turns off, and when I turn the key to start the car, all the lights turn on like normal full brightness, and go away once the engine is started.
After about 2 minutes of leaving the car off the dim seatbelt light fades away, to off.
Not sure whats going on here can anyone help me?
