Okay I just hit the 2K mark on my rebuilt motor the car is a 1986 S4. I was making the final ajustments you know the TPS and the A/F ratio screw and I also ajusted to idle to 750rpm. The strange thing is the car idles way better when i bottom out the TPS, it also idles way better when the TPS is unplugged. I have no idea why but i did put headers and a cat back exhaust with the converter removed, I also have a K&N air filter. The last thing i did when i installed this motor was remove the 5th and 6th port sleves an everything else that runs the acuation system including the air pump. I just wanted to know with this being a N/A if i run the car without the TPS would this hurt the motor in any way. By the way i get 20mpg city and 26mpg hwy no matter if the TPS is plugged in or not.
