Wideband choice...

I'm trying to decide which wideband system to put on my car so that I can finish my turbo conversion (tuning).

I was wondering what the concensus was on:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Innov...QQcmdZViewItem

Is this a decent system for the price? I'd like to have a guage and also be able to hook up my laptop to it to do logging. It looks to me like it's going to do everything I want it to do, but it IS an ebay item, and I'm always wary.

Thanks

I am using the Innovate LC-1, I got mine for $100 less than that, but didn't get the gauge.

Go to Innovate's website. They list their dealers there to check prices from.

What all does it take to do the data logging? Can I just plug it in to my computer and monitor AFR's without the guage or will I need to purchase some other gadget to do it all?

I use a UEGO also......good system. I know on the Haltech (currently installing) it has a setting to read a UEGO signal....so it could datalogged through there.

I know the LM-1 has a "controller" its a digtal readout thingy (looks like a DMM) it displays the AFR on, and somehow, you can hook up a laptop to that unit for datalogging.

However for my original intention (wanted to know WTF was going on in my exhaust pipe) the UEGO does exatcly what Im after and offers a few more features.

Its all about what you want to spend and what you want to do, they all do their job just fine.

Hell you can get the LC-1 from Innovate themselves for $199.

http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lc1.php

You can also check out PLX

My buddy in town are running Zeitronix on his T2 and he likes it

I am going to go with the LM-1 kit, as I dont really want a gauge in my car. It datalogs and such.

Your best bet is to search the websites themselves to find out all the information, then go to ebay to see if they have it for cheaper.

i have an AEM wideband installed in my fc and it came with all the hardware and wiring and you can data log with it. When my car was tuned on the dyno he said it was as accurate as his computer on the dyno... i would recommend this gauge.
