Alternators are the same for turbo versus non-turbo - just keep the series the same.
You might need to change the battery lead stud - it's just a matter of removing a nut, repositioning the mount on the splines, and then tighten the nut back up.
No biggie...
You NEED the starter, cause that's what mounts on the turbo transmission.
You also need a turbo flywheel...

Is there anything u gain from doing a turbo II tranny swap on a n/a car? I heard that the gear ratio is higher in the n/a trannys so u can get better gas mileage on highways. Anything else?

RETed: alright thanks for that man. but i have an s4 tranny im putting in a s5 vert.
so that means i have to still use the s4 starter right?
fonzi581: the gear ratio is higher, but im also doing it because im swaping a turbo II engine in it soon.

In fact, you can use a non-turbo automatic trans starter if you have one...

but now im not sure.
so if you guys can help me out then please do.
i bought a 88 TII transmission.
and i am swapping it on to my AUTOMATIC vert, i have the whole 88 TII rear end also.
but teh transmission didnt have anything on it. I.E the flywheel, clutch, pressure plate etc.
but now i heard i need a pilot bearing and some other nuts and things.
so what all do i need so i can finish my swap and not f@#k anything up.
dont give me **** for this post too.
