what swayed me to premix was my motorcycles. they run premix all day without carbon or scoring on decel.
as I understand it motor oil is not intended to be burned in any combustion chamber, where 2 stroke oil is formulated to coat in a combustion chamber and to burn ash free. simply put, 2 stroke oil burns alot cleaner than motor oil.
thats just my 2cents.

This happens on all rotaries, including brand new Mazda factory remans. It is the reason why I change my oil every 2000 miles. Anything past that and it always smells of fuel; doesn;t matter what engine it is.

HMM, isn't happening on my rebuilt motor. Only happend on my 13BT when I flooded it.

3K miles since the last oil change on my current motor... and it only smells of oil.

I'll drive it another 2K miles before the oil change if the weather doesn't get above 80 much more. If we keep getting the warm weather, then I'll need to switch back to the summer weight 20W50 before then.
