Why does my e-brake light come on at sharp corners?

Why does my e-brake light come on at sharp corners?
Whenever I take a corner minutely hard, my "brake" light on my idiot cluster will come on. It usually stays on until I either hit the brakes or after a little time. Why? is it just a short in the cluster?

I wasn't aware that the light indicated my brake fluid level. I thought it was only for my emergency brake.

Didn't read his post very clearly did you...

I've never seen an online owners manual, but I know Mazda sells high-quality bound photocopies. I got one off an auction website.
