Why does my car sound like a mustang
The cars been sittin on a uphill slope pointing nose down. with quarter tank of gas. for about a week now. i try to start it up and no go. it just cranks over no fire. so i roll it down the driveway and pop the clutch, nothing. roll down the road/hill pop the clutch. nothing. then at the bottom of the hill it finaly caught but i had to give it gas to go. and it smoked a fair bit. and it was gutless like hell but it got beter once it went around the block. mind you, the apex seal in the front rotor is toast, one of em anyway. the compression is low, but its been low for like a month or two now. below 85 psi. 56 int he front 72 in the rear. anyway so couple hours later i start it up on my driveway. it fired up no prob but sounded really really lumpy. it idled @ 1500 then dropped to about 700. but sounded really weird
any idea why this happend ?

lol to above.... Its got a few problems that haven't been mentioned...
As well, he bought it for quite a bit more money. I doubt he'd sell it that cheap.
I say you swap in that $850 J-spec, or rebuild what you have...

it's worth a try. if you see a T2 anywhere in BC with a blown engine i will give 900 cash, if the rest of the car is clean, and no major rust
That's 850 american for the jspec, plus misc parts. Are you capable of doing the swap yourself? If you can't then it will cost you major $$$$$$

holy shitballs!!! for $850 Canadian I'd NEVER consider a standalone... you could buy 2 jspecs for less than one standalone and thats without installation and tuning! Man hook me up with a source for jspecs for $850 CAN... thats about $540 US.

I don't buy it...
I think $850 US is the lowest I've seen. Still cheaper than a standalone by far... then again no warantee, no guarantee of mileage or condition... it's cheap but you never know what you are getting.

Oh, yee skeptics.
There is a place around here called JK auto used parts. They sell them for $850 Cdn. Here's the downlow:
You get a second gen J-spec.
-Could be a series 4, could be a series 5: they don't tell you
-not compression tested
-unknown number of kilometers
-no warranty
-what comes with the block is hwat comes with the block. Its whatever they get in. Could get everything, or just the bare bones)
So chances are you will get a series 44 motor with some kilometers on it, a turbo, and intake, and a fucked up intercooler. Is it a good idea? Sure, if you got NO money.

Nope, I don't have their number.
I don't know much about the company at all, but judging from the info they giove you, I dunno how much they know about rotaries. They just give you a motor without knowing if it is a series 4 or 5?
Haven't seen or heard from anyone getting their motors, just got the info on the engines. I, personally, would probably not order through them unless I was desparate for a motor and had no money. Like our poor HS friend Powridah (who doesn't deserve the **** he is getting). Buys a car with great compression for a tad high price, and then have the thing fall apart on him in two months....
poor poor Powridah....
