Who still sells engines

I need to get my hands on an S4 13BT engine for my project car. It's been sitting while I struggled financially, and it appears that the vendor I looked at is gone.

Can't afford $15,000-$20,000 that some places are asking for these engines. Is there anybody who has fair prices?

Thanks!

Do you need a whole engine, or do you have one that needs rebuilt and you have parts?

I expect I need the whole engine. The one in the car is an Atkins street-ported engine that was overheated and has not compression. I don't expect it is rebuildable.

I recommend pulling the engine out, and pulling it apart, if nothing else for the curiosity and experience. You might find useable parts if you go the rebuild route, or find you need an entire replacement engine. It could help to cut down cost.
