Going rate for a s4 turbo 2 engine???

Hey guys tried finding a similar engine and can only find FD's rews online for sale. Any idea on a fair price for a running s4 turbo 2 engine?

I don't see used ones for sale very often at all, and given used is allways a gamble, id probably look into a rebuilt engine/

ive seen some of the more budget rebuilds by rotary resserection, for under 3K, ranging from top grade builds going for 5-6K

not sure what part of the united states you are from, but u may look into local builders, and evaluate what your budget consists of.

Difficult question to answer considering the varying factors like condition, compression, miles, age, location, performance modifications done(porting, balancing). I've seen used short blocks for 1500 from people that lost interest in their project at the lowest on a supposed running engine but that's no guarantee on it's health. The best way to guarantee you get a good bang from your buck is to talk to an engine builder and have one built for you since these cars are getting so old anything claimed to be running has had to have been rebuilt at least once now anyways.
