Who has a TII carbon fiber hood?
I need to know if the CF hood has the opening to mount against the top mount intercooler or if it just follows the contour of the outside of the hood.
Basically I had to cut the inside of my hood out for my engine swap so the engine would sit up inside the hood scoop.
Sorry this is a little hard to explain.
If you have a TII cf hood could you just list the manufacturer and if it is like stock or if it is open.
Thanks

I have a hood from a company called Fiber Images, its just like the stock hood. I also can also get CF hoods from seibon and vis and AIT, all of which are oem replacement style that wont require cutting to work.

I"m sorry if I'm not being quite clear. I have a 20b in my car and I had to cut the stock TII hood on the inside so that the engine could sit up in the hood scoop. So basically I need something with out the accommodation for the stock top mount IC setup, rather I need that are to be open to clear my intake manifold.

I have Fiber Images hood as well. Absolutely nothing on the top related to the seal.
Since I'm running the stock TMIC, I had to mount the seal upside down onto the lip of the TMIC to regain the air flow function. So now the hood drops down on the seal.

Oh, now that makes sense. I had no idea what you were referring to. The fiber images hood has none of that stuff the stock hood has underneith it to seal up for the TMIC. In fact, it's probably not a good idea to use this hood with a stock TMIC, even though I am, lololol.

Problem - no ability to mount the stock TMIC seal.
Solution - Mount to the TMIC lip. Now hood closes down onto the seal rather than the seal closing down onto the TMIC as stock. Either way, it's sealed.

I'm just using the stock latch. BUT, this hood flex's quite a bit at high speeds from under hood air pressure. So good flush mount latch pins might be in my future.
PS I'd forgotten I'd left the dip stick there until I posted that jpg.
