Question White residue under oil fill cap

Take off the oil filler cap and look down the tube, theres this white-ish stuff on the edges, and when you touch it, it turns into liquid and runs away.

Doesnt smell that great either.

Any idea what this is?

Cheers

I just used a shop towel and cleaned as far as my finger would go down....it shouldn't really harm your car so don't worry about it too much.

I agree with the other people. Just wipe it out and don't worry. I flipped when I fist saw that in mine. Turns out that it is just from humidity in the air. I was living in Orlando, FL at the time so we have allot of that

Motor mayonnaise yummy, shoudn't be a real problem, check your oil dipstick though to make sure you don't have any of that crap in your oil pan.
