e brake light always on????

e brake light always on????

for the past month my parking or e brake light fails to go off. does anyone have any idea of why this would happen? thanks

You are probably low on brake fluid.

You can also try to pull open the center armrest console (where the pw or foglight switches would be) and look for a red wire (pretty sure) and check to see if it is broken somewhere and grounded. Does your ebrake still function normally? How many clicks when pulled all the way up?

if it stays on it usually means low fluid ... just pour some in there anyway ... see if it goes away

there's a bunch of reasons it could come on

you may have a bad fluid level sensor in the master cyulinder
bad vacuum
pressure differential switch might be acting up

some stuff from my notes at school...hope it helps

my e- brake warning light was on yesterday and i added some brake fluid and all better now. now if i can do something about the blinker fluid... lol
