Actually J-rat is on a streetport now. He cracked his rear iron after the wastegate line melted causing an over boost. The thread on his current motor is the first one in the timeslip/dyno section.

Yep, its a streetport now.. Just made 490 wheel and the turbo couldnt handle more. Engine was built by Glen Weaver at Azrotaryrockets.com.

A half bridge, from everything I have read (plus talking with Brian/BDC) will help spool the turbo faster at lower rpms. The BNR is definately too small for it though.
Check the Single Turbo and FD section. Not common, but then not uncommon either.

And there are various levels of "streetports".

Hi FCKing,

I don't recommend any bridgeport if you are not using a full standalone ECU. In my opinion, the RTek ECU chip change is more efficacious for a stock or street ported engine that's not too radical. Doing a bridgeport pretty much changes everything. What Aaron is saying is basically true -- A BP is not "required" to make power. It is merely another alternative to doing so (even though I feel with the right setup it's got many benefits over a street port).
