Where to get a decent exhaust Y-pipe (cheap)?
Anyone have some suggestions for the best solution price-wise? I've seen one online for about $160. I am open to new or used.
thanks,

For $170 you can get an RB one. It's 2.5in down to 2.25in after the split. It will last a long time. If you have an N/A it's a little bigger than stock and the same on a TII. That might be to much $, but the quality is good.

generic y-pipe?
I called up Midas and they are quoting me $300 for one and they'd have to order it... talk about nuts! Well what should I expect to pay at a "normal" muffler shop for a custom pipe?
thanks!

Eh any chain store is a BIG NONO!!!!!!
Find a custom exhaust shop. Call up your local SCCA chapter and ask them for recommendations, or visit an autoX one day and talk to the people there.

FYI, a cheap custom exhaust plumbing job runs $100-200 in my area.
Josepi's idea is great, but I don't think that you will be able to afford a quality racing exhaust system. I guess it doesn't hurt to check around, though. The turbo-back exhaust for my 20B was made by the leading SCCA race shop in my area, and it cost me $1,600, not including the cat and mufflers.
