Question Where can I get a double loop rollbar for my vert?????

I want a rollbar, but I want the crome or silver kind that have a loop behind each seat like the BMW Z3`s instead of that big straight single one I have seen someone selling.

Anyone have any ideads??? Has someone fitted a Miata one before????

Those are STYLE bars. No roll protection what-so-ever.

Just don't expect them to do anything, and you won't be dissapointed when you do find one.

I am sure that the ones in the BMW`s offer some roll protection, not as much as one that goes across the back but some. BMW`s are some of the safest cars on the road.

Um, because they are OEM, and are WELDED to the frame, not aftermarket and bolted to a floor board/firewall. Don't expect any safety from the style bars you described.

I was'nt planning on rolling it but no one really does, it just sort of happens when you try to pass that guy on the exit ramp doing about 95.

I mainly want it for style but I will be getting it (or a strong mount) welded to the floor if possible. No matter what it will better than the stock, DOT approved, lack of any bar that the car originally came with..........

But yeah, style is a main concern.

if style is your main concern, have a exaust shop bend you a pipe, if stainless you can polish, or you can paint it, and attatch it to the sides of the car where the spare tire cover is, I think you can use the seat belt attatchment area, I have seen it done, very cosmetic only. Some guys car in Guam, here is a pic:

If any one has any info....I would like to know too. Anything is better than nothing. A straight up steel piece of pipe will provide some protect weld or bolt.

Or it could break upon roll over and remove your head from your shoulders ala "giant mouse-trap" style.

Food for thought.......

John

There is none out there. I was told awhile back from some one who has done it. You use the Miata one from RB and fab the extensions to fit.....thats it.

That is the one that I have seen before and without trying to cause offence, I think it is ugly as hell. What I want is a double loop. I am starting to think that just like my last car (Conquest TSI) all the coolest stuff you have to make from scratch. My headlight conversion, and tailight conversion plans are already underway.

even that bar from the FC3s site is cosmetic, it just bolts to the floor board, I guess its better then nothing, but its not a 100% safety item. Just email that guy from Guam and ask him, he provided me with the link. You can easily get one made and bolt it behind that cover next to the seat belts, its super easy. You can get it made then drop it off at a chrome plater and get it chromed.

Any rollbar that close to your head should have foam padding on it.

Go to Racing beats website. They have a show type roll bar double hoop. Its for the Miata but I heard with modifications will fit the convertible FC3S. Ask first before you try this task.
