Kirk racing. I have this bar and love it. It bolts to the seat belt upper mounts and has 4 inch plates that bolt to the floor behind the seats. There was a major improvement in chassis stiffness after the install and it comes to right above the top of my head. I did add padding to the whole thing just in case. As for the mouse trap comment; if there is a force strong enough to break the roll bar loose, don't you think that same force is enough to crush your head? The only issue with my situation, is helmet clearance. My helmet sticks up past the top of the bar which could be a problem. But for the street it gives me that little extra sense of security. I would recommend this to anyone, no matter what the cost is. Life is priceless!
And the vert top came will an internal roll bar built into the armature that swings the roof up. It does squat with the roof down, which is why I decided to add protection.
