Why are you insisting the CAS is bad in the first place???
I have never seen a CAS die unless it has been tampered with.
You're looking in the wrong place unless someone fucked with the CAS previously.

What else have you checked? The odds of getting hold of 2 bad CAS is highly unlikely. Have you checked ECU, coils, wires, plugs, grounds...etc...

the cars in the shop, from what i know he said its either the ignition control module (igniters), or the cas, i replaced the cas already with no change, he checked for power on the coils and there is power, it turns over but there is no spark at all , hope to be fixed by the endo f the month

Dude, the CAS is easy enough to check out from the ECU, while cranking. You either get your signal there (at 4 different pins), or you don't. If you do, it's not the CAS or the wiring. You can also read the entire circuit for resistance from the ECU (remove the plug first), which will check all of the connectors, all of the wiring, and the CAS coils.

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
Lol, I'd listen to Wayne on the CAS stuff. Something tells me he's had ALOT of experience with them lately .
Anyways... test it and see if it's good. If it is, start troubleshooting for other problems. Coils?

Lol, at least I had enough intuition to 1) ask about the failure rate of the CAS, and 2) perform my own troubleshooting to rule out the CAS without "throwing" parts at it
Casio- you ought to read it, if you have a couple of hours to spare. Lot of good troubleshooting steps in there, and wisdom from the elders....

i may get around to it. its funny, my threads never get much love. i asked, what i thought was, a simple question and never got an answer. it basically came down to "is there a simple way to check codes if the CEL isnt working?" yet your CAS (who even bothers with the CAS?!) thread gets pages! its not fair!!

Only the first page or so covers the CAS, then it's on to other strategies/troubleshooting/components. I asked the mods to retitle it to something along the lines of "mini-hesitations", which was the original problem, but I didn't get any response either
