Where is the best place to have my N/A engine rebuilt?

Well, try as I might there just seems to be no way to get the compression back on the front rotor. The rear is fine but after filling the engine first with carb cleaner then atf, there is still nothing on the front. To make a long story short, is was running fine when it went to the body shop but came out with the front rotor with only one compression pulse, the apex seals all seem to be there but no compression. I couldn't beleive all of the black gunk that came out during cleaaning, probably the cause of all the trouble to begin with, sad for an engine with only 78,000 original kms!

So with a rebuild in mind I'd like to here about the places, their reputation

It just really depends on what your trying to do.Pineapple does build great engines and are very helpful.if your wanting to go with alot of boost and high h.p. that's the way to go.If your on a budget and keeping it stock maybe a small street port.Kevin landers is the wat to go.Just do a search and you'll find alot of posts about him.He does great work,at a good price.

Here is what I would like to end up with...

Unless there is a real compelling reason, I'm staying N/A, having said that I would like a reasonable street port, no reduction in streetabilty. Probably add a MindTrain exhaust system too.

yes, go with pinnaple if you want some performance mods or some custom work done. if you want just simple regular rebuild for fair price go with rotary resurection.

Pineapple Racing builds amazing motors, and they have the best warranty (5 yr/60k miles). The owner, Rob, is a really knowledgeable and helpful guy. A little pricey, but well worth it IMO
