when removing PS
hey i want the clean engine bay so i figured since im in the middle of my t2 swap (no engine in the car) there is no better time to take out the A/C and power steering so i took out the A/C but then looked at the PS rack and see the line that goes into the rack so when i take that line out do i just put a bolt in to keep it sealed? or is there more to it then that?
please let me know asap and please no flaming. thanks -mike

damn, i used to have a like that showed what to do exactly if you want the ps gearbox still but i dont know. imo though, you should just find a manual steering gearbox and swap it out. ive heard its pretty easy.

i was thinking of the same thing. my orig. ps was leaking so my steering was already hard (been like that since i bought it so got used to it). i swapped in another one one of my bud said was working while i was completing my rebuild. it's still leaking so im thinking of swapping in a manual rack. are the manual racks for the FC the same for all models (5 spd and automatics)? if its the case then i have access to a manual rack from an automatic. what's all that i would need. i will do more searching ofcourse.
