Wheels Question...

Anyone has these rims(pictured below) on their FC3S? I'm planning on buying these and the seller said that they were off a JDM FC3S. He also stated that they are made out of magnesium!!!

I smell smoke! And it's being blown up your ****! Those rims don't look familiar to me. And if they are made of a magnesium alloy, they are going to be very expensive. If they aren't then they either aren't made out of that or are hot. Just my .02

They are made by Magtek and after little researching it's the company which supplied magnesium wheels for MOTORCYLES(NSR250)!!! But I did not find any pics of these rims on an RX-7. It's got the same dimensions as my FDs stockers but I think they got a more distinctive look to them. Well, can someone clear this up cause I don't think the seller is trying to smoke me...

Mag rims are amazing. Light, rigid, low rotational mass.. but on the downside they are rigid... that means instead of slightly bending your aluminum rims they are mor prone to chipping and cracking when struck by a pothole that is a bit too deep.

If the pic is right, it's a 16" x 8", +50.
This does not fit on an FC.
It sounds like it was off an FD.

Good find Ted. I didn't even think about the offset. Yeah, I don't think that there's a way to run 8" wide +50 offset rims on an FC without some serious spacers. Too bad they aren't +30 offest.

And about magnesium wheels. I know a lot about those. I ran Marcheni magnesium wheels on my Ducati and on my Laverda. They are awesome when it comes to weight and rotational mass. But they are crazy expensive. The ones for my bikes were $3K per pair!!
