get an old TII block...send it out to be rebuilt and street ported...then add a big turbo, injectors, standalone, fuel pump...all the goodies...

as for suspension...dont get coilovers...ride will be too rough. get something adjustable like KYB AGX's or such...with RACING BEAT springs?

wheels and tires...go for something BBS style multispoke sitting on some really nice tires...

then you are done...

hmm...well i was really hoping to stick with a less gas-consuming motor. but if it's gotta be TII, then it's gotta be TII. finding one is easy, i know a friend who knows a yard with that stuff. i thought coilovers were adjustable? theres also this one thing i've been hearing of, it's called air suspension or something. supposedly you can adjust from inside the car.

i know this isn't what you want to hear, But maybe buying a nice TII is a good option, you can get one for less than 5K. then sell yours and you have money left over for your TII. i didn't do this, i pumped in about 5K, into my FC and it runs good, but still looks like crap. I would have been better off following my own advice. a part of me regrets not doing what i just advised, financially it's your best bet.

I believe all coilovers are adjustable. Tein flex coilovers are adjustable you can even get a Tein EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) to go along with your coilovers.

"EDFC makes it possible for the driver to control the damping force by controlling a motor installed in the shock absorber while being seated in the driver's seat."

Tien Flex coilovers + EDFC at rotaryextreme.com = $1735

I'd do what chexmix78 said, buy a TII sell your NA and put leftover money into the TII.(get the Tein flex coilovers with the EDFC!)

I wouldn't turbo swap an NA unless it was a convertable.

my guess, is that since there were no turbo verts available, if you really want that combo, the swap is the only way to go. but if you want a turbo coupe, financially it doesn't make sense to do a swap. better off just buying a tII. thats, just my take on it though

That's a good point. Get a garage and tools to work on your car with some of that.

The adjustment on the coilovers does not control stiffness of the spring. Only different springs do that. The adjustment allows for changes is ride hight for cornerweighting.

Damnit, if only you had bought a turbo you would've been able to get the GReddy TD06-20G. Oh well.

like my friends always tell me, theres three things you can do with your money: bury it, spend it, or make more money out of it.

buying the t2 and selling the NA and using the money to mod the t2 is the best answer in the world.

First mod on the t2 should be a plug and play mega squirt ems system

he said he only has 5 grand.

Motor rebuild and porting (non-diy) 2500
Big turbo 1200
Manifold (log style HKS) 400
Standalone (haltech) 1800

oops all gone. And he didn't even get to I/C, injectors, pump, regulator, suspension, rims.........

for 5 thousand I would say just get a decent TII and some reliability stuff

Bingo! Unless of course you have both an NA and a TII and you wreck the TII.
