why are wheels for the rx7 so friggin expensive?
is the offset that oddball? or is it the 4 lug design or somethign?

why why why
i don't wanna have to spent 700 bux a wheel to get some 17x8 wheels!
is there any good less expensive wheels out there in that size?

Well yes if you have an old 4 lug axle it is unusual.

To start with Mazda didn't make that many FCs with 4 lug axles, and most of the cars that have 4 lug are (shudder) Hondas, that are front wheel drive with a different offset.

WRONG!! Tons of FC's are 4-lug...in fact most 86-88 NA's are 4 lug, except for the GTU, Sport, and maybe some GXL's...

ok, well then what are the wheel spec's on the 88 gxl?
offset bolt pattern/size max wheel width

and as for tire rack, they only seem to go up to 7" wide wheels...

My 86 SE has a 4 lug axle, any info on where to get some good wheel and tire packages online? ive seen places like tirerack and discounttiredirect.com but maybe there are other places that offer cheaper pricing. I run on 14's and thinkin about plus sizin to 17's, good idea or no?

I've searched in hella places before my friend finally told me to just go to tirerack.com. They have some awesome prices for some nice rims from OZ, to Kosei. I personally have the Kosei Racing Seneca's with Bridgestone Potenza's SP2 wrapped around them. I think my grand total was like 1100 with shipping or something around that. In any case, check it out, but if you don't like what you see, then I have no clue where else to find them.

Peace,
AJ ^_^
