Wheel sticks out farther one one side?

Recently I put some work emotions cr kais on my fc..specs are 17x9 +28 in the front (which is where the issue is)

When I first put the wheels on my car I noticed the front driver side poked out from the fender. At first I thought I just got a size that was a little to agressive but I noticed on the passenger side they are still tucked under the fender.

I was also having issues with the wheels rubbing against my coilovers. I ended up going with a 5mm spacer and now the passenger side is fine but the driver side still rubs on hard turns?

I don't appear to have any issues with camber in the front...any ideas? I was told it could be a wheel bearing (which knowing my car are probably bad anyway just like everything else lol) but not sure how this could affect the wheel being pushed out. Fenders appear to be fine to

Thoughts?

mismatched wheels? bent fenders? though bent fenders wouldn't explain why one hits the coilover.

wheels aren't mismatched. Bought them brand new and the barrels have the stickers on the inside mentioning the specs. Pulled the fender back a little bit at one point to see if the frame of the car was bent but didn't see any damage.

You'd need to do more than pull the fender back to see if there is previous collision damage, which is what I would suspect. Have you checked the carfax on the car for collision history? one thing you can do is a poor mans X check. measure the distance from the center of the bolt head furthest back on one fender to the center of the bolt on the front of the opposite fender (making one leg of an X across the engine bay). Then measure the opposite ends (making the other leg of the X across the bay). If they're different then chances are you have a issue that can only be fixed with a frame pull.

Although if you do have damage that severe you'd have alignment issues, steering, etc. Not to mention the alignment of the hood to the fenders. I think some pics would really help in figuring out the problem.

did a PO install camber bolts by chance? If they did it could easily be out of alignment.

the strut/coilover bolts to the carrier could be slotted and pulled to one side that you didnt notice., loosen them up and make sure they are the same.

I had similar symptoms (although not quite as severe). If you have pillow ***** you can compare the upper strut adjustment within the slot. If they are uneven from R-L while the camber is the same, it indicates a bent spindle. Something to check at least.

SpikeDerailed - I will double check but I doubt it. My coilovers have camber plates on them..I just want to figure out what the issue is before I start messing with the camber since the wheel doesn't appear to have any dramatic camber problem.

Hypertek - I will take a look at that. Thanks.

I will try and take pics to see if that might clear things up a bit. Thanks for the advice

Perfectly normal as they came from the factory that way, driver's side is out slightly farther than the passenger side, at least on our S TII we purchased new, no accidents etc.

Here's a thread I recalled from some time ago:

interesting ^

My Taurus is out in the rear quite a bit actually, and I had it on the alignment rack 4 times, measured everything, gave the alignment guy a bloody hard time but at the end of the day it drives straight and everything seems fine. It's when i changed from 215 to 225 tyres that i noticed it as it stuck out about half an inch on the left side, and was flush on the right.

I would recommend just making sure it is aligned up properly, and you should be good.

Post some pics, love the rim choice

I had this problem when I tried to fit FD wheels to my car. I didn't know it at the time but the upper strut mounts are on an eccentric to facilitate adjustment of camber and caster. The passenger side had one degree of positive camber, causing the tire to rub on my fender.
