What's wrong with this Picture?

this is right above the exhaust manifold.
look where the spring is.
seems like something should be there, especially since there is a lot of air coming out of it.
i want to say it has something to do with the AIR pump?

Thats the ACV. Very odd it's opened like that. There shouldn't be any air or spring coming off of it. I believe that part is usually held together by a cap with some RTV or glue. Maybe it came off? I can't remember what it looks like, I will have to take a look tomorrow. Either way, you will need to fix it with a new one or if it's just a cap, figure something out. I will let you know.

isnt there a tube that comes off that side of the ACV? or is that only on S4s?

From what I've seen taking apart S4 ACVs, stuff on that side is related to the anti-afterburn valve (AAV). I'll bet there was a metal disk pressed in, which held that spring down. It probably popped off somewhere. If it's leaking air, your emissions systems and possibly the 6PI and VDI systems may not be working correctly. I'd find a replacement ACV, or take that one off and attempt to fix/seal it.
