unless you have some kind of really creative idea, don't halfass fuel system stuff.

And the reason why it's expensive is because you need to buy the appropriate fittings. You would have to find an aftermarket FPR that can use rubber hose.

How much power are you making?
Why do you need to upgrade the FPR?
Stock FPR is fine even with 400+ hp monster FC's.

i knew a guy that went cheapo with FPR's, he is now in a wheel chair and cant feel his legs from a car fire...that and he was strapped into a 4point harness that he went cheapo on as well and the safety pull didnt work when the crew tried to pull him out, while they watched him burn till someone cut the harness. dont go cheap, ever.

There are other ways to monitor fuel pressure. You can get one of these http://forum.teamfc3s.org/attachment...7&d=1046212371 and put it after the fuel filter and screw in either a sender unit for an electric gauge or screw in a guage like you would add to the fpr to monitor the fuel pressure.

edit: part number 2975. Summit Racing has it for $9.95.

looks good thanks. im holding off on the fpr for now. its just not in the budgit if its not necessary. i had no idea the stock unit could support 400 hp. however as it is a 15+ year old car it doesn't hurt to know where everythings at.

if 300.00 was expensive, you wouldve **** a brick if you got the near 1500 dollar bill for my fuel system . Dont go cheap with the fuel system. Its defintly not the place for it.

Get some S4 Fuel Rails (pretty cheap on the forum here). Get since you have the FPR good. Get some earl's. russel's, or even summit (usually the cheapest) barb ends and some fuel line clamps rather then changing the line from the tank do it from the firewall. (thats with rubber lines) but if you can do an fittings and like 3-6 feet of SS line would be better. You will have to get some adapters for the ends of the fuel rails. Run the rails in series because its cheaper but i am not sure if thats gonna affect the FP reading you get.

But as everyone here is saying. DONT cop out. Save the cash and get a proper setup. I am doing my fuel lines and stuff now and looking @ my options so i know what your going thru when looking at cost. But your engine relies on that fuel, dont wanna cop out and have problems or issues. I would think save your cash. do a proper setup. If your planning on 350 reliable horses, Your gonna need a proper fuel setup.

To answer your above questions, i believe the s5 tii rails have the FPR and PD are attached to the rail directly you cant take it apart unless you cut them off, or get some S4 rails where they can be unscrewed off.

im not trying to use cheap parts for the fuel system. i was looking for a easyer and less costly way to hook up my areomotive fpr other than the fc3spro mod. the $300+ is only for the braided line -6an fittings ect. from that mod. not including any cutting, welding or assembly. the shop thats doing my work is $65/hour. so far i have a walbro(rewired) $100+$65 install stainless line from the tank to the new fuel filter and stainless from there to the rail. im not sure how much it cost me it got grouped in with alot of other stuff. new 550s and 720s. new gromets. ect. i have way to much in to this car to use crap lines or questionable hardware. now knowing the stock unit will hold upwards of 400 hp. the money saved will go towards custom fuel rails and the fc3spro mod setup. off the subject i had a chance to visit toronto this fall you have a great city. if i didn't hate winter so much it would be a great place to live. not that michigans any better. thanks for all your input and thanks for fc3spro vary helpful
