whats this button????
so i just bought my first RX7, its a 1991 non turbo 13b. i just want to know what this button does. it is located right next to the little change holders behind the stick shifter. it is above the mirror adjustment switch. it is circular in shape and has no markings on it. its probly somthing really obivious i bet but hope you guys can help
All the stock things that are in that panel could be:
Mirror switch
Foglight switch
Security light
Vert switch
AAS switch
headrest speaker switch
headlight leveling switch(euro)
None of these are round as you describe.

hmmmm ok,ill give that a try tomorrow. but like i said if its somthing aftermarket then it was done extreamly well because everything looks completely stock. any other ideas what it might be??
Could be for anything. My first FC had a similar switch there for the rear wiper. The stock switch for the rear wiper crapped out so someone just wired in a momentary contact switch there for it. All you can do is try it and see what happens.
If it's a fuel cut switch you will likely see a wire tapped into an existing wire at the Circuit Opening Relay located under the dash and just to the right of the steering wheel column. The relay is Yellow and Black.
so i was doing some more investigating and its not a fuel cut switch. i hit the button and nothing seemed to happend when the car was on and off. i just wanna make sure im not gunna mess up my engine somehow

Check to see if there is even power getting to the switch. It may simply be something left over from a what ever the prior owner was trying.
i took it apart today and there is a yellow and black wire connected to it that lead toward the dash with the rest of the wires. i have trouble following it after that
