For street driving everday, I wouls go with a Cold air Box. For a track only car Ram Air(If the rules Allowed)
I have never seen a HP comparison of the two on the same car . I am going cold air, to prevent ingesting something driving down the street. John

Well you wouldn't pick one over the other, you'd aim for both. A pod filter is pretty useless without a cold air feed and a heat sheild, because the power gain from the extra flow is about the same as the power loss from breathing hot engine bay air.

You could either duct air from the bumper opening, or some guys cut into the brake duct.

I cant remember off the top of my head but there is a company who makes a valve that goes in your intake behind the filter, supposedly it drains the water off if you ingest any. Ill try to find a link to it.

Considering how low the bumper is, I think you’d knock it off well before you got a chance to drive in the rain! The radiator intake is a much better place.

I dont think we were actually talking about sticking it out the front of the car! Anywhere under the front of the car like that will get wet. I had a friend who put theirs up behind the front bumper...SOAKED!

We’re only talking about a 3” duct here. That’s hardly going to affect cooling.
