What's a 10ae worth?

Just wondering how much ya'll think being a AE should add to the price over a regular tII? Also could someone post up about how many AE's were shipped to the states, I know I've seen it somewhere but don't remmeber. Thanks

come on people. its a s4 t2 with some badges, different paint and a few interior options. are badges and a few options worth thousands or even hundreds of dollars. NO. so its not much more valuable than a regular t2. value is based largerly on condition as it should be with any used car.........

I think they're beautiful A bit heavier.. Ehh... That'll be remedied

Are they worth more? I think they are worth a little more myself, mainly since everyone tends to sell them more and them having a more limited production.... Not like $1,000 more though. Just a little bit more than a regular t2

And like Andrew said, the condition should play a large factor in price

But I think the price for t2s down here (my area) is listed on some pricing site as around $3900 for an s4... And I've seen 10AE's from 3,500 to $4,500 in this area.... In the end, it mostly comes down to how much I limit myself to spending and how nice a car is.....

I'll just say I think the 10AE, with all its stuff, should be worth a little more than the Turbo2, but definitely not $1,000+ more... A hundred or so... Course it'd also depend wha tyou want it for.. Racing? Or collecting?

Exactly. No difference between the two.

I love it when this topic comes up.

Dont forget that there are only 1500 ever made. That may or may not add to the value.

I think their slight rareness.... And few extra things..... Should make them a little more expensive than a normal t2. But not by a thousand or so. Like I said.. Maybe a hundred or so I guess it just depends on how much the other things add up to....

I think that really depends on the buyer. how eagerly he wants to own an AE? and how he value this 1 out of 1500 made? you know, some people just want to be special.

how much would you pay for a 1900 stamp? nothing or million. :-)

Again we come up with the what is my car worth thread???

Well since I just bought a 10th AE myself, here is what I found in my research over the last month:

According to Edmunds right now good condition running 88 T2s are worth between $2,000 and $4,600 depending on condition, where you bought it and mileage.

But because of the demand the 10th AE however is running about $2500-5500 depending on mileage and condition. This is because of the original 1500 imported to North America there are probably less than 400 10th AEs even registered in the United states anymore and probably half of that 400, that are running.

Please notice, that any non-stock modification other than tire brand and tire model lowers the value on a 10thAE, and that typically mileage on one is about 86000 miles.

So, those people that have one and have added exhaust, or 17" wheels to it or have thrown out the floor mats, have lowered any additional value that a true 10th AE would have, back down to normal 88 T2 standards.

AS it was said earlier....The value depends on the buyer.....If the buyer wants one then the value will increase.....yes they made 1500 of them......but they are still just S4 TIIs........ I like what Icemark said:

Personally, I would just buy the TII that is in better condition. There are several disadvantages/advantages with the 10th AE (more weight) but has a nice black leather interior. No other S4 had a black interior. You either got the grey or the ugly blue/red.

For what its worth, I personally have a 10th AE but only bought it since the body and interior was in relatively great shape. (surprisingly the paint too was not that bad)
