what would u pay?

for an 87 base model with 58,000 origional miles
every inch is very clean almost no rust
interior is perfect save for one rip on the driver seat (idiot light and stereo surround unbroken woot!!!)
engine runs strong, no hesitations in the powerband
onyl visable problems is a rust hole through the right muffler (so i guess there is some rust lol)
and whoever repainted it glues the mazda badge back on but didnt cover the holes where it was origionally mounted..odd i know

dude is askin 3900 i was thinking 2000

If there was ANY rust on it at all I wouldn't offer more then $1500 (Canadian).

Rust is an absolute nightmare. Everything else (dead engines, blown transmissions, cat-pee in interior) is no big deal to me.

If the mufflers are rotted that's ok, since most FC owners don't keep that after a few months.

$2,500 if its in good shape.

$2000 is reasonable for that car.

I was thinking "straight body, ok mileage, not bad" but then I read the "Almost no rust" part of it and cringed.

If there is ANY rust on the car it's not worth over $2000.

KBB is not an accurate way to gauge the price of a 7. especially when it can outperform the competitors in its class which still go for more money

I would say 1500 bucks.......come on - N/A base model???? cheap cheap...even with those miles....

sorry, this is a bit of a rant but everyone says almost no rust.....or SUPER CLEAN, just a little rust under the _____

There will ALWAYS be rust somewhere on the vehicle unless you just saw it come out of the end of the plant....

Since the prices seem to be steadily decreasing as the thread continues, Thirty-seven cents and a case of soda (American USD). No more. And tell the guy that I laugh at him for trying to sell that car for almost 4 grand. Thats ridiculous.

IMO I don't think Base Models should cost that much. $2000 is about right. Any price higher than that, you're getting raped.
