What would u do with $30,000?

Pointless chatter (sets the mood):
I was talking with my bro, bashing civic's (like usual). And he likes to use the example (I think it's pretty logical with the typical civic ricer) "they take a $14k car, dump $30k into it, and make it worth about $4k. When they could have spent an extra 10k and bought a rustang that was still worth more"
The Civic ricer idiology was proven to me today, when I talked to a "car club" of 28 civics. not 1 of them were Si's, or hardly modified other than one they were turning into a show car that had 9 god damn 8 inch subs (rather than 3x 15" which it was equal to).
Anyway, so we started talking about "gimme 30k, and I can get blah blah blah blah and still have cash left over".
I chose an s5 TII (my dream car, even over a z06 corvette and possibly a 3rd gen).
My short and simple was 3 rotor conversion tuned and what not to get about 500-600 hp (i've heard with some good tuning, and not a hell of a lot more cash than the actual swap, that can be done easily).

the point of the thread:
I'm curious as to what some of u guys might do if u had $30k (including price of the car) to your FC of choice, the more detail in mods the better, I'm still learning a lot about these cars. Plz, don't include things like a CF hood, or the Telsa turbine supercharger, only things that are out on the market now, or prior. anything that is custom fabricated, make sure it's mentioned (with that rule u can use CF hood).

Dustin

P.S. feel free to bash civic's, share your civic insults with the rest of us, or for that matter any civic's taht might be worth mentioning because they are actually fast!

hum... if i had 30 grand for my TII i would do a 3 rotor swap, 10,000, and then the rest would go into suspension things, like tein coilovers and adj. shocks (there so cool!) and a good set of volks. i wold also probably get fiberglass finders, hood, doors, from japco, and a re carbon rear hatch, im shure i went over 30,000 but hey it's all gravy. im shure there are alot of people on here that have put more than 30,000 into there car ...

Yeah I'd think I'd definantly have to go 3-rotor and tune it. The do some bodywork and a nice paintjob for my TII.

Id buy a TII and COMPLETELY restore it so its mint (Paint and everything). Then probably just an exhaust and fuel cut defender and some nice wheels . Then Id just pay my insurance and gas and maintenance with the rest of it

I'd get a rebuild for my 89 GXL and then supercharge it. Some fuel mods, dyno time and a new paint job and I'm good to go!

I'd build up a very nice, reliable 300-400 hp 2 rotor FC w/ full suspension etc for ~$15k (sounds familiar to me...) and save the rest for a really big down on a Lancer Evo VIII. That way I have a supercar to drive now (FC) and in 5-10 yrs I would have an even more potent chassis to build into a supercar (Evo).

Yes, this is assuming the full $30k is to be spent on cars...

30 Grand? If I had 30 thousand dollars I would go to the local tavern during happy hour and buy 30 thousand 1 dollar drafts.

I'd do everything I am already doing to my car...just alot quicker, lol. An 11 second car with a/c and the full RE kit. And some Racing Hart CP-035Rs.

Speaking from logic, I'd get a second generation AWD DSM, swap a j-spec 1st Gen engine into it, 6 speed manual, grounding effects, turbo, paint, wheels, everything, and still have $10,000 left over.
Speaking from rotary loving, I'd take an S5 TII and convert it to AWD, three rotor swap, 6 speed tranny, wheels, paint, groundin geffects, haltech, everything and have nothing left over, car wouldn't be as pretty as the DSM, but probably faster, and a **** load rarer. Not to mention ROTORS BABY!

Please explain why you'd go with a jspec 1st gen engine?

hmm, 30k huh

id get a complety rustless fc body, sand and pain a very nice 3color flipflop
kazz rear end, guru dogbox 5speed, some nice clutch, meet that up to a largest streetported 13b-re you have ever seen with gt35/40, tial wastegate hks bov, greddy fmic, k2rd rad, haltech'd, all the gauges you would ever need, custom 8point cage, panspeed kit

whatevers left would go to tuning, after that i would buy a few set of tires, stock up on fluids im gona need to replace and then get really drunk

If i had 30k.... I would buy a 3rotor with a t51r, GP Sports body kit, Beautifal shiny black paint. Show quality car. Running 9 second passes now and then. That's a dream. I will be doing this when i'm older and have a huge rx7 car collection.

i'd just get a s5 n/a, go with a tuned n/a 3 rotor mated to a 6spd, full exhaust (true... triples?), and all the other bolt-ons and stuff, trick out the inside and outside, suspension mods up the ***, wheels, and maybe a widebody kit so i can put excessively wide tires on it
