What would it take?

To swap a 13B T into a 86 NA? You can get them for $650 with tranny from Osaka. What would the gains be? What all would be needed for it? I have searched a few times but see alot on the 13Btt. I can get a 86 GXL for $1500. And if it doesnt take much to install the turbo motor then i was thinkin of goin that route. I know pretty much nothing about rotarys. I used to have a DSM. Any help would be greatly helpfull.

To swap a 13BT into an NA you need the following off of a turbo II:

- TII harness/ECU
- Transmission
- Driveshaft
- Rear Differential
- Hubs/Brakes

If i'm forgetting anything, I'm sure someone will fill the rest in....

Sorry to be ****, and i'm suprised no one has mentioned this yet, but you aren't doing a thorough enough search.. This is a very common question asked on the forum, and has been answered many many many times... i can't stress "many times" enough.

Keep searching, you will find several articles on this topic.

i spent like 6hrs last night "trying" to find stuff. All i found was a few that talked about the 13Btt. That sucks though that you cant turbo a 7 for less then that. They look damn good.

I can understand turbocharging a car where they never made a turbo counterpart but Mazda did make one. I turbocharged a RX7 convertible 8 years ago because because we never got turbo convertibles. I bought a wrecked TurboII and switched it all over into the ragtop.

Making a non turbo hardtop into a turbo makes no sense. Take the money and effort it would take to do a correct conversion and just buy a TurboII.
