Is my TPS really bad?

So I have ohmed out a total of two tps's:

As resistance increases... there is a short moment where the meter does read "OL". But then about a second later it seems to be sweeping up fine. The only thing I can think of is that its the meter changing values from ohms to k ohms.

Both TPS's that I tested have done this...

So my question is.... Did I just so happen to get two faulty tps's or is it actually the way meter is operating?

A cheap (<$10) needle type meter is sometimes better at observing the sweep of the TPS values.

BTW: If you can do soldering & heat shrink, the plugs & brackets can be swapped from different models.
The actual plunger resistors are all the same.

Yes - If the ECU gets an "idle" signal from a bad spot in the TPS sweep & the RPM's are above 1500, you will get a fuel cut.
