Yea it routes air from the intake to the BAC valve. I know it defenitly hooks up to the BAC's air supply.

It's the Air Supply Valve on a turboii. It injects air into the maifold during power steering inputs on a series four turboii.

The Air Bypass Valve is the one that works in conjunction with the bac and is located on top of the intake manifold. That Air Supply Valve is out of site, out of mind on the back of the manifold, opposite the firewall.

Like I said, its for the BAC, it lets air into the BAC via the selenoid. If you don't want your BAC, then you don't need that part.

*edit*
Actually it looks like the part that I was thinking about for the NA, but I realize now that you have a TII
I think hailers is right

It's not for the BAC valve. It has nothing to do with the BAC valve. It opens to increase idle speed when the PS pump is operating (i.e. you're turning the wheel) or the hot-start assist system is operating.

Yep. On a series four TurboII, it's mounted on the back of the upper intake manifold. I don't have power steering either. I took mine off and put a dab of sealant over the hole that it feeds. I took off the EGR valve back there also. It does not seem to matter if the EGR is there or not during my emissions checks.

Someone, maybe SureShot uses the Air Supply Valve to boost his idle speed during certain situations. He has it rigged to something to actuate it. Not a bad idea.

You won't miss it if you don't have pwr steering. But plug the small hole that it fed on the back of the upper intake manifold. OR! Maybe I can sell you mine? Say.....fifty bucks? We can negotiate if that seems too cheap. (humor)

I just put a dab of epoxy over the tiny hole and kneaded it in the hole. Works just fine. Make a 1/4inch thick blockoff plate if you want to be an extermist.

If I was Batman, and you were Savington, I would probably be more than willing to show you

But alas, I am heterosexual. However, I have considered labeling this useless blue toggle in my car "dikfore" to see how many girls ask...
